US feds increased interest rates but the euros didn’t, the war in Ukraine has fucked Europe as well
Plus the American economy is stronger and a lot of European countries have worse inflation and Germany is likely to enter recession

Much worst, this winter europe will suffer energy shortages too. They don’t have oil, this war marks the end of an era

Exchange rates fluctuate, there isn't a "normal" rate for floating currencies. EURUSD has fluctuated between 0.85-1.5

By that logic USD is useless too.

It’s not supposed to be this low, this is not a normal fluctuation it hasn’t been this low in 20 years:lul:

And it clearly is affecting Europe because of how cheap it is now for Americans to travel to Europe and expensive american products are in Europe

Uhh you know that's the benefit of a weaker exchange rate: it makes exports (products and services like tourism) more competitive.

Exchange rates fluctuate. Floating exchange rates aren't fixed. In the early noughties, the euro was like 0.85 dollars.

A weak euro kills the purchasing power of Europeans and your savings and increases inflation more as well.

Also EU interest rates can’t be increased because it would kill the economies of the poorer states like Italy and Greece. So inflation can’t be controlled. Europe is completely fucked

The inflation in Europe is caused largely by rising energy prices, not due to demand factors.

Also, the euro is still "stronger" than the dollar, as it has been most of the time.

europe is way more energy-dependent on russia than the us, that's the problem

but it's the eu's fault that they have created a half-assed union that's essentially just mountains of regulations and bureaucracy and nothing else. european nations dont really share a common identity nor give a fuck about each other

Yeah. Depends on the country tho.

And I agree about not sharing a common identity. I don't support eurofederalism.

Don't worry. The dollar will be fucked too if they keep printing it at the rate that they are today.

The dollar is the worlds reserve currency nothing can happen to it

The more dollars you print, the less each dollar costs. That's how it works.

Meanwhile the Russian ruble is doing great
