Paralysed cats chance of recovery

my friends cat ate a chopstick. She found her cat paralysed on the kitchen floor so brought her to the vet. came back from the vet a few hours ago and now only their right limbs can move.

There was noway of seeing this coming btw, everywhere online says chopsticks make excellent cat toys.
The chopsticks were just sitting on the counter, probably had left over food on it, so the cat chewed in and a piece of the stick pierced something in her neck, the vet is unsure about that exactly was damaged.
