They treat women like unicorns, the capitalistic system as something fair which “just needs to be tweaked” (higher taxes and more welfare), globalism as something which has no underlying motives and race as a social construct which is “racist” and needs to be abolished.

Their ideology relies on a complete ignorance of biology and history. It’s no surprise that they’re on the way out. Socialists and populist right wing conservatives are taking their spot, and rightfully so. Liberalism needs to be thrown into the dust bin of history.

Liberalism has been hijacked and bears no resemblance to its roots in the values of the Enlightenment. Now it's all about the outsourcing of personal responsibility to the state and an obsession with equality of outcome. As you mentioned, its ignorance toward biology, cultural differences, and overall human nature is entirely divorced from reality. Conservatism in its current incarnation doesn't have it entirely right either. The ideal is a meritocratic and sustainability-focused society, governed by a small but powerful state, where it's easy to accumulate wealth and hard to preserve it.

The populist right is replacing the traditional right and is challenging the traditional neo-liberal left.

The majority of voters are not liberal. The majority are independents.

self identified liberals are shrinking among youth, who increasingly are in favour of social democracy rather than neoliberalism.
