Our species is prioritized, but this behavior is a byproduct of empathy. No one mentally well would sooner give the dogs meat than a fellow man.

Shame leads to conformity, conforming to a group, thereby not being outcast, increases your chances of getting a mate.

3. We feel empathy (Why should we care about our fellow man? Caring only about yourself = better survival success)

We care about our fellow man because if you were a lone wolf 20 thousand years ago, you'd likely die. Not only that, but humans develop quite slowly, which is why things like family exist, to raise youths until they're more independent. We need others to ensure our survival. Sure, you may be able to survive on your own nowadays, but that takes a lot of knowledge and effort, and how do you find a mate like that? (you don't)
