They are cherrypicked pictures. They formed a minority, it wasn’t the average woman who was dressed like that. Even in Afghanistan, some women dressed like westerners, but again, it was a tiny minority of women and they had a brief communist regime. Which clashed against the Afghan culture and regime. Communists basically usurped the seat and then they “invited” the Soviet army to help them, starting the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. Then, due to American involvement and being anti-communist and wanting to contain communism, they started to aid, train and help the Afghan mujahideen who then were lauded in the western media. Until, of course, the Americans wanted to have things done their way, which also clashed with Afghan culture and thus started another invasion/occupation of Afghanistan. And now, all praise to God, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has returned to power.
