Must be fucking brutal suddenly having so bad skin esp. when you are 31 and probably haven't had bad skin for 12 years. I understand that he doesn’t want to go on Accutane. That shit can potentionally cripple you for life esp. in regards to your mental health. I have read so many stories of people who have developed social anxiety, severe depression etc. after taking the drug + diffuse hairloss is a very common side effect.

There are a lot of people who have taken Accutane that have had their acne come back after treatment. It was also originally created as a chemotherapy drug mainly used to treat cancerous tumors of the brain. Do you think it’s a good idea to take a drug that kills ogf cells in your body esp. as a 15 year old? Skin conditions are in general extremely poorly researched which is why the only oral remedies against acne are antibiotics and Accutane. Accutane should only be used for extremely severe cases of acne where no topical remedy such as benzoyl peroxide and azealic acid has been effective.

I know this is a really old thread but that's just not true. Benzoyl peroxide contact therapy once or twice a day has worked super well for many people. Many people have had nodular cystic acne on their face, neck, chest, shoulders, back etc.. but then used benzoyl peroxide from acne.org and gotten 99-100% clear.
