Firstly I would like to say that this post is not to hate on this guy or talk badly about a person who has recently passed, this post is just to briefly discuss the example that this person was of determinism, and how brutal some people's reality/life is.

I believe the person featured in the picture and youtube channel's name is Ronaldo. It goes without saying Ronaldo is sub5, maybe sub3, genetically Ronaldo was given just about the worst set of cards possible. From the moment he was conceived, he was guaranteed to be bottom 10% looks. This is already extremely brutal, no amount of looksmaxxing could have saved him, just over before it started. On top of this brutal genetic composition, he also developed stage 4 terminal pancreatic cancer, and never had any real symptoms until he was basically terminally ill. He suffered and went through chemo-therapy for I think about 7 months, then died, leaving his wife and two children fatherless.

There was nothing he could've done to save his genes, or his cancer. Both happened totally outside of his control, then when he finally had the chance to intervene and fight the cancer with modern medicine, it failed him. All the medicine did was maybe buy him some time. Time where he was weak, sick, and in pain, decomposing day-by-day.

This is a sad and brutal example of how sometimes, you just get totally fucked and there is nothing, literally nothing you can do about it.

He also made some videos talking about his faith and religion. This is also sad to me. It also serves as an example though, life was so brutal it was impossible to not cope, in his mind there had to be a better, more fair, more peaceful place to go once all his suffering was over. There was no way him or anyone else in his position could have accepted or even seriously considered that their life-long misfortune and suffering was for nothing, to no gain, and futile. Very sad, but useful example of this cope. Not saying religion/Christianity is definitely not true, or clowning on religion, but I do think this is a good example of when religion is a cope.

Rest in Peace Ronaldo

What do you all think?

What are we talking about. Stopped reading when you mentioned him having kids. This defeats the point of your thread. What was determined? His gene survived.

Yea he had children and passed on his genes but, the thread was just to point out how he just got unlucky with many different aspects of his life. Passing is genes is one aspect sure, and he was able to acheive that. But everything else, he was never able to retire, died young with cancer, probably bottom 10-15% looks, everything else that really matters he never acheived, and none of it was within his control.
