Think about the greatest people in history. Nearly all of them were leaders who get to claim credit for the efforts of masses of people. Alexander the great did not conquer his empire single-handedly. Michelangelo didn't even sculpt most of his art, he's sculpt a miniature and have an apprentice do most of it then he'd do the finishing touches. Most of the people who are rich and famous today came from a big inheritance or an influential family. And if they didn't, they convinced someone else to take a chance on them to be an angel investor or advocate or subordinate.

Nobody who is where you want to be, got there just by "working on themselves": practicing skills, studying, watching tutorial videos, working out, meditating, taking supplements, and whatever the fuck. Yeah they did work but they got other people to leverage that work heavily for them and reap the benefits of the work of those people. That is what separates them from your everyday person.

Getting other people to help and support you is the number one skill you need to master to succeed. The myth of the self-made man holds down so many people. Network, exchange favors, persuade, Use the Ben Franklin effect (getting a person to do a small favor for you, and then you thank them heavily, makes them more inclined to do a big favor for you later, without you even needing to do a favor for them in return before or after.) The squeaky wheel gets the grease. So you gotta squeak up and ask for lots of help. Many people like helping others. Utilize that to your advantage. Not even in a predatory way just use it, it's there for the taking.

Getting other people to help you is the self improvement, works for pretty much everything except sexuality, still helps even it.

So true even Mark Zuckerberg didn't create Facebook as we know it today he just created the basics of it, then he let some incels do the rest.
