Looks are really important but that doesn't mean you can't better your social skills and go after better positions in companies.

It doesn't mean you can't work hard and imrpove your soial circle/social status
Trust me that attracts alot of chicks even if you are ugly. Also makes it easier to make even more friends which mean more opportunities
