these rich owners, and bussiness owners, thought folks were gonna go back to slave wages, once the city opened up again. Alot of people took time to learn new skills and move on, but owners blame the goverment for giving people stimulus and relief checks. Covid 19 killed and changed industries for years. No one is gonna work for 15 a hour in new york, doing manual labor. Even if they make it 17-20 no one is coming, to work. Rent is like 1600-4000a month in most of the city and boroughs. Folks are doing apprenticeships, or doing some medical assistant tranning, to start off at 25 a hour.

basically any type of labor, involving physical labor has been effected by immigration, but due to some countries and cities still on lock down, the influx of immigrants over the past two years have come to a halt. Now workers are demanding higher wages and benefits. same cycle immigrants and illegal immigrants come over, companies pay them shit wages. But to those immmigrants/illegal immigrants 15 dollars a hour is alot more then they got in their home country, making 2-3 dollars a hour.

So these immigrants/illegals immigrants all get in one apartment, with multiple adults and children, usually a three to four bedroom apartment, with each adult, making 15 a hour. In theory this helps them, but makes the usa economy weaker, now that americans citizens can't get higher wages, with inflation the min wage should be 25 a hour.

Thats a lie btw, only 28 percent of folks qualify for the covid 19 aid of 600-800 a week. People just don't want to do these shitty low wage jobs, they picked up new skills and moved on.
