it depends on the ideas and how well you can promote the games. I have a friend who started creating games at around 16 or so (he just turned 18). the first few months he started he made so much every day. he used to make all his stuff in robux so he made usually 100k a day, which is pretty insane. the thing is he was coding in luau for about 2 years prior to that and he’s autistic so he kind of had a buff. it all depends on how well you are able to make the game. all you need to do is keep up with the trends like the 50 games you would see on your recommended that have the same exact idea just a different topic. back to my friend, he does commissions now aswell and makes at least £3k per commission. it all depends on how well you can do it. it’s possible and its pretty easy but it’s only easy if you are willing to spend a lot of time on it.

Thanks for feedback g, also i have a question: how quickly did your friend started making money because preferably i want to start making it before the end of the summer because then i will have less time to spend. And what kinds of games did he make?

He started making money surprisingly quickly. Like he literally made a cashgrab game and boom, money came in. It's easy asf so yeah you can make tons prob a month in. He just made whatever is trending. Literally all those brainrot games and shit. The game isn't dying or anything either. It's full of retarded little kids that will use their mom's card on stupid shit, which'll make it even easier to make money. But yeah it's pretty easy but also you will need to invest in advertisements if you are going to make a game so I recommend just doing commissions and stuff because you will make a bit but it'll be hard since you're starting with no reputation or connections. Unless you have a friend that knows any devs or is a Roblox dev, then you're gonna have to really try. Like for me, I am going to do 3D modeling, and my friend is gonna just put me onto some people that'll easily buy. That's why connections are really important. Honestly just try it out and if it doesn't work out just get a summer job

worst way to moneymax atp, people nowadays need some quality games even if they look for kids or low efford, like grow a garden or survive 99days

did he promote it or did people just gravitate towards it? and if he did promote it how much money was he spending on the marketing

Uhh ngl I think he spent like $100 usd or so on advertisements. he did the roblox front page advertisement shit or wtv it is so it got recommended which got it a high concurrent user count. it is an investment, but as long as your game isn't just some shit then you'll 100% get players. also im pretty sure it was someone he worked with that paid for marketing, since he was working with some big devs. it's basically impossible to get people to gravitate towards a game, especially with all the games now. an alternative way could be to just advertise through social media; i'm not sure if that works but it probably could if you actually make the game look fun

It's best to be able to understand coding at least a bit so you'll know what's wrong if the ai makes some retarded error. if you can make the game well, you should be able to make hundreds in profit easily - could also be thousands. but don't forget that you will need a team unless you wanna be stuck 3d modeling shit 😭😭😭which isn't fun at all. Also, I'm not sure how much better AI is now, especially with LuaU, but you could of course try and see how well it can work. If you do this, I recommend using rojo and then using a framework, which makes creating games much easier, but the ai might not understand it. if the ai doesn't understand how to use the framework and you're too lazy to use one, then just do the basic shit. Maybe if you make some money off of it you'll want to put more effort in it since it could actually change your life. I mentioned my friend earlier who does that while also being able to do drugs, go out, party, do all that shit, so it won't take up much time out of your life. This kinda shows you that it really is easy money once you get into it - you just need to keep that momentum if you do gain it. Kind of a yap response but hopefully it gives you an insight on how time efficient game developing is.

you can use Lemonade AI; it's exclusively made for Roblox Studio and adds scripts and objects to the game for you, making a good game with potential can take months, but brainrot slop games to farm money can be made in days or weeks, the best strategy to earn money with robux is not to exchange them for real money through the DevExchange, but instead create robux stores where you sell them below the standard Roblox store price, this way you can earn much more money

mark as solution

deadass if you can make a game thats addicting enough you can become a millionaire, chance also plays a crazy big role now tho. i hate to say it but literally making low quality copy and paste games is the only viable way to make money on roblox.

Yeah, i have a paid gemini plan so i can use cli, it can directly change and execute code on my pc and work with local files, works like magic and code is really good too, i alredy tried it with my project and i had no problems, but it was too massive for me as a newbie. Ideally, im trying to find a niche that will allow me to almost do 0 modelling or any of that shit. Im really low on money rn ( like even of i wanted to i wouldnt be able to invest even 100$ into it) so im hoping that if i make 3-4 simple cashgrab games and maybe make som yt shorts about them (also using ai, of course) then i will be albe to reinvest some of that money. And i know that it might be too much, but i would really appreciate if you gave me a way to contact your friend, if he doesnt mind of course, that would really help

I'm pretty sure you can use gemini cli without a paid plan, but it's probably better with the paid plan. Also, you're going to have to do some 3d modeling/building/ui design/sfx/vfx if you're going to make a game, which is why you'll probably need someone to work with you. Idk how well yt shorts will work ngl. unless you're able to advertise the game by pushing it to the front page you're kinda fucked. Also my friend isn't really the type to help people with anything; He rarely even texts me back and I've known him for forever 😭😭. Just join dev communities on discord if you haven't already.

not worth it anymore. theyre pushing more mature better games atm

youtube atuomation faceless max is better than roblox, the roblox is garbage atp, the money etc, not really gonna make millions, and its hard af to do those games, even if you copy it you gotta make sure it works and roblox known for being imperfect, so gl with making your code be the way you want it to be

Yeah i got this plan basically for free so i dont really care. I know what i will have to face while making the game just fine (i have some experience), i just dont know how things will go after i post it - what are the chances of getting at least some playerbase and stuff like that. Thanks for your help bro

Yeah no i used to be a dev but nowadays it's impossible to even get a playerbase. You can try but the game has to be straight shit to have any players.
