running an irl experiment with black hair, compared to blond hair.

I've had black hair before during the emo phase in my youth so I know I can pull it off quite well, that being said, I'm a decade older now and what happened back then won't be relevant today.

pictures will be included in the result post to prove that it's not a larp, I figured someone had to do this and since I'm one of the few that naturally has blond hair here I might as well, and as you might be aware, you can make blond hair dark with relative ease but you can't make dark hair look naturally blond, it always looks fake.

making some conscious effort to keep track of ioi, and matches.

also, initial findings:

hairline instantly looks 10 times denser, and the twirl/cow lick that's visibly present in my hair when it's lighter is invisible now, it also gives the illusion of more volume.

dark highlights might be a good idea in the future but I'm not sure how they'd fit in with my natural hair color, which is a reflective kind of grey-blond.

I tan quite well for how pale I naturally am (as in, it doesn't burn/turn red), it's just winter and my skin hasn't been exposed to the sun in months, I don't have the patience to sunbathe so I usually just work shirtless to tan.

also I look like a robust north atlantid now, it's quite spooky.

another finding: my eyes appear way more prominent due to the contrast, also made my eyebrows dark so that also adds to it.

blond hair never looks good on people with dark hair naturally, you can't really bleach it in a way that looks natural while retaining hair texture, it just looks like straw.

but brown might work.
