And the reason why I say 'art/music/literature' is because you can't actually be trained to write stunning creative literature like Shakespeare (up to you if you choose to believe Shakespeare is great or not). There have been and still are 100s and 1000s of students learning English in detail at high end educational institutions yet none of them have reached a level of greatness like someone like Shakespeare simply because no amount of training/academia/education can make up for it. The same with music, you can't teach a person to become creative and write good music like Beethoven. The same with art, you can't teach people to paint a fascinating, detailed painting like Michelangelo. These are things that distinguish an unremarkable being from a remarkable one, in my opinion.

Really good thread, you worded the problems about academia very well. I can't believe there was a time in my life when I used to judge people based on their education & not their character instead. I've realized how braindead and soul-less a lot of these modern NPCs have become as most of them have no real hobbies. I like the idea of classrooms, its just modern academia thats fucked. A gatekept pile of mess. And the craziest part is, college then becomes the next social hub after highschool unless you somewhat luck out and join another system that has a class of people. This means people outside of school, or people who don't go to college are usually totally walking dead with their social life. You meet people in highschool and the relationship doesn't even stick after HS because the change of one social hub to another. 5+ yrs of destroyed relationships all for the sake of a useless ass degree. This rinses and repeats in college.''

Perhaps once a month, months, or every few weeks as time goes on.

Similar work areas should unionize and carry degrees instead of the colleges. That way even a warehouse worker or fastfood worker can grow in his field. From store mcDonalds grill worker to Bachelor's degree in culinary arts -from the mcdonalds factory. Get them on tailored payrolls/workdays. work/study relationship with the promise of in less work the higher advancing in the field. This will keep people motivated. Ofc fair wages according to inflation and alternative investment stuff that works for people not trying to pursue a higher "Education"
