So I have an appointment scheduled with an orthodontist, my dentist referred me because I told him I want to get braces, I actually want to get sarpe, braces, and bimax, how do I go about bringing up jaw surgery with my ortho? I don't think I have any major functional issues, just a maloclusion, my teeth don't line up properly, I think my dentist said it's a minor class 3 bite, I have been a month breather most of my life though, only switched to nose breathing 2 years ago and I still need to take a few breaths from my mouth every minute because I don't feel like I get enough oxygen thru my nose, my grandma and jy dad also had sleep apnea so it may run in the family, should I bring all these things up if they ask why I want surgery? Also will tell them I don't like my side profile and would like my assymetry to be fixed because it's caused by my bite.
