Does anyone else here have structural knock knees? Here’s a photo of what mine look like:

For those of you who do have it, are you planning on getting surgery to correct it? There is a surgery called a distal femoral osteotomy where they cut your bone and readjust your leg angle to make it straight. It take about 6-8 weeks on crutches for each leg in order to heal. I find my knock knees to be a huge looksmin, and though I don’t have the time and money to get the surgery done now, I am almost certain I will get it sometime in the near future. Any opinions are welcome, thanks!

thanks bro, I've always been so insecure about it, this surgery will definitely be life-changing for me

Didn't know that was a thing at all ngl

Wouldn't it be fixable with some kind of leg brace assuming you're a developing teen?

yes, external braces do work for teens still growing but i’m 18 and essentially finished with growth, so a corrective surgery is the only way to fix it I believe

don't think I have knock knees but my shins curve to the outside slightly. My legs looks very aesthetic in tights jeans so I'm fine

A friend of my parents underwent this surgery.
Before the procedure, doctors asked him if he wanted to gain few extra centimetres with the osteotomy (they literally proposed him a free LL)
But he was bluepilled and refused

damn, i’m not sure I would want an LL with the osteotomy, LL seems like too much extra recovery time and risk to me. With the osteotomy, my legs will be straight instead of bent, resulting in a 1/4-1/2 inch height increase(not from LL). Do you know how the LL would work with the osteotomy?

knock knees is when you draw a line from your hip joint to your ankle, and if that line is outside your knee then it’s knock knees, like this:

your shins seem to curve out then back in, making your hip to ankle alignment still straight. I don’t think your legs would be considered knock knees, and i’ve seen people with the same leg shape as you- they still look aesthetic.

I am not sure I used appropriate medical terms.
A friend of my parents underwent knock knee surgery and in the procedure he had the option to have his legs lengthened and gain a couple of centimetres.
obviously recovery would have been much more fast than a 7cm real LL surgery

I have the opposite, bow legs, most leg lengthening clinics can also fix this issue. So get both at the same time. Btw, it robs about 1.5 cm so its worth getting fixed.
