The gym has only produced bloat lords. It has produced big and ugly clouds that are imminently ready to burst. Something about lifting weights that makes muscles hold tons of water, creatine, and whatever other garbage that low IQ gym cucks take and this makes their physiques look utterly disgusting. Gyms are unnatural and we have not had anything like it until very recent in human history. On the other hand, what is healthy, natural, & functional is calisthenic training. God gave us the gym for free and it is our own body weight. I will not accept any other argument, thank you for listening

you muscles will hold water regardless of how big they are, i think youre thinking of powershitters and not bodybuilders, bodybuilders try to get the thinnest skin possible and lose weight while gaining muscle, calisthenics is extremely dangerous and all of the top guys are on gear anyways, the only calisthenics movements that will give you gains is pullups and dips which are regular lifter movements anyways

Yeah true, im thinking of getting into calisthenic training again, and also doing more cardio while trying to get a better diet hopefully it pays off fast and well

yeah they are strong at what they specialize: holding themselves mid air on rings and doing handstands and shiet... not at picking up heavy objects overhead or from the ground, or punching even. movement patterns are a real thing. a gym novice who does overhead press can probably lift a heavy box higher than a guy who does ring dips all day.

the same thing can be said for the fat ass strong men and powerlifters who can lift heavy weights but can’t move themselves for shit and are out of breath just from a flight of stairs

a roider physicist bodybuilder named doug brignole who died last year had a physics/bio-mechanical based approach to lifting, he said it all comes down to levers/angles (basics physic & shiet) you can literally measure loads on muscles meaning there are better exercises than others (if the goal is muscle hypertrophy) interesting stuff

Most people will never even reach a level in the gym where they exceed the potential they could reach by body weight exercises.
