Theory of familiarity effecting your perception of attractiveness

Qoves made a video on this also stating that we often find the most attractive people to be those who look like ourselves/our parents backed by studies. This is called the familiarity affect. Of course a person still needs to meet the basic indicators of attractiveness e.g facial averageness, dimorphism, symetry, skin etc. However past a certain rating (lets say 8/10) we often are slightly biased towards people who resemble similar features to ourselves/parents.

This maybe why there is so much argument over who is the most handsome psl man on this forum. Some think chico is overrated, while others think hes absolute perfection. See how your own perception of the most attractive people correlates with your own look/familys look. Do you notice similar features to yourself in your opinion of the most good looking people? In my case i think this is why i think alesandro delisola is the best looking psl man that i have seen, better looking than chico, cavill, o’pry. It is because he is objectively attractive, but also he resembles some similar features to myself hence why mabye i have a bias towards him.

Whats your thoughts on this?

I think it's moreso the people you're exposed to. There is definitely some truth to it. My preferences reflect this to the extent I prefer people with caucasian skull shapes and fair skin, but it honestly doesn't go much farther than that.

Not really as far as features go
I have normal ratios, nothing really diverges from the averages, but that's true of most attractive people regardless of pheno

Well yes that's not really anything special, high averageness in terms of ratios, at least most of them is typically found in GL people
Looking at the girls I have found most attractive and comparing to my features...

I have:
light brown skin, vertically narrow dark green/hazel eyes, dark brown hair, thick straight brows, a triangular medium size straight nose, full lips, and a short and wide skull
I like girls with
fair and pale skin, ginger or black hair, slightly arched and thinner brows, large round blue eyes, small and upturned nose, thick lips, and wide skull.

So many of these traits are actually the opposite of what I have.

Yh mate, i never said the people your attracted to have to look exactly like you, like you in female form. And for some people this effect has no truth, but for many others it does just because it doesn’t apply to you doesn’t mean its not true for others. There have been studies on the topic.
