To do it on an individual level is unrealistic, and there are financial institutions/people with bots designed to find these opportunities and chase them whenever possible within seconds of their appearance.

The only place it is feasible is in sports betting but even then the betting websites try their best to eliminate these arbitrage opportunities from appearing in the first place.

The betting sites are also notorious for banning individuals who win too often/are clearly utilizing arbitrage.

Arbitrage is cope because there are such low barriers to entry for competition, the only thing that differentiates your product is price so as soon as someone realizes the arbitrage opportunity they will enter the market and drive down prices until all supernormal profits have been eliminated. If I sell cable clamps from Alibaba on ebay for a £1 profit each, I would give it a week until someone else does exactly that, and then you are just selling identical products only difference is price, whoever offers lowest price wins.
