Thinking of joining the army, need honest opinions

What are the bad and good things about it?

I honestly don't need to care about my family. We have two houses which we give for rent and dad earns a lot of money. My brother is kinda dumb but still he is doing job earning ok. So even if I die it won't be a problem to my family in the future.

I am 5'8-5'10. I passed the physical examination test last month and my dad and mom asked me to give it a thought.

India. I am actually half nepali and I wanted to join their Gurkha rifle which will make me go to the British yo server there. But unfortunately I have a Indian citizenship
