which is better to look like brad pitt in fight club and better for health long term.

roids and chilling with low effort training
 
weights always beat calisthenics for hypertrophy but you should do both... you don't want to end up as some jacked looking dude that can barely bust out 5 pull ups cuz he never does them

Imo calisthenics is better bc it rewards you for the reason you train in the first place.
 
Weight lifting if you are a beginner (less than 3 years of serious lifting with perfect diet) / want to fill out a specific muscle group.
Calisthenics in all other instances.
