what can you lie about on your resume?

we know you can lie about previous experience but what about things like certifications and degrees? will most companies actually do a background check and find out you dont have any degrees or can u just lie?

It probably depends where you live and what job you're applying for, if it's entry level they possibly won't check. But they probably will verify previous work experince

it really depends on the magnitude of the lie. almost everyone lies in job interviews, since these are all very competitive.

It depends, they check if the certification is important to the job like a CPR certification for a nurse or medical certifications for some medical job, legal certifications for a lawyer etc. For less professional jobs and jobs in general no1 gives a shit as long as u can do your job well.
