That’s not at all why…
The Turks moved there because of several reasons
1) new convert to Islam, usually when a group is new to Islam they are the most fanatic and Middle East was @ war with Byzantines for 500 years by this point so the Turkic tribesmen saw it as a way to prove they are true Muslims these warriors were called “ghazi warriors”
2) exile, many Turkic warriors traders slaves etc were exiled from iran (Seljuk territory) of to get rid of criminals and the like they often pushed these rejects towards their enemies Aka byzantines Aka Anatolia (landmass we call Turkey today)
3) war, the Turks beat the byzantines at the battle of Manzikhert and ever since then have had large swathes of land in the region
4) Turkey is similar in topography to the steppes of Central Asia (where Turks come from) so migrating there was east for them as it was hilly, mountainous but very flat. Ideal location for Turkics
