Why are so many people who are low bodyfat have puffy faces?

I don't get it. THeir bodies are ultra lean like sub 10% bf and their faces still look bloated. why is this?

is it because they diet down on high carb diets and end up retaining more water in their faces?

I have the same problem

its because my face lacks facial forward growth so my face gets really blocky/square if i go over 12% BF

2 year difference and yes it's water weight

And a lot of Normies like me are skinny fat, not skinny, I actually lost fat and gained muscle and it helped my jawline a lot.
