and you can tell who's *just* wearing a turtleneck vs wearing a turtleneck just to wear one. appearing effortless and carefree is a part of looking good. tryhards just try too hard

you hit the nail on the head.

I've notticed the ones that work best are very light colored ones that bring out the wearer's good complexion. And if you have a pencil neck it just makes it look obvious and makes you look like a framelet
