why do people lie? i get that the fat boy in the video is a child but like the dad didn't have to say positive things he could have just negated the shitty things the kid was saying about himself? like honestly people that straight up LIE about your appearance are the main reason i have body dysmorphia because if people were consistent with what they said i wouldn't have such difficulty understanding what i look like.

i hate this performatism on social media and in real life where ugly people are called handsome or pretty out of pity it's honestly so ridiculous

i was ugly as sin in middle school and nobody told me otherwise. when he gets to junior-senior HS maybe even college. but rarely before then. ur liked for things other than looks until certain age.
