I dont know if this will work for you but when i first started going i treated it a job that i had to just get out of the way and i wouldnt let myself skip a day. But i never even thought about the gains instead i just treated it as a hobby and ended up getting gains. Also going to failure is fun, try it.i do boxing too so its at least fun
but dunno. i guess seeing progress would help mentally
