Why the ethnic immigrants that go to europe now don't assimilate the culture?

Brazil received a lot of arabs and some jews in the 19/20 century and 99% of them were assimilated by the culture, as well as other immigrants from europe
I literally never saw a muslim in my city even tho it received a lot of them back then
Why it doesn't happen in europe?
Maybe europeans are too closed to other people even after accepting them in their countries and it's destroying europe, if they were more open to not only receiving people in europe but including them (IN A NOT CUCKED WAY LIKE SWEDEN DOES) things wouldn't be so bad now.

Europe is different from the Americas you have to keep in mind countries in the American continent are young therefore it’s easier to assimilate European countries on the other hand have an entire cultural identity with old families going back decades to the Middle Ages all the religious wars etc.

Brazil is a country founded by whites[portugal] originally it was an empire led by an European Royal family - for most it wouldn’t be much different from back home.

Another thing to keep in mind is the short amount of time that’s passed as well as the immigrants economic or social status rich educated immigrants often assume the cultural identity while poor uneducated ones do not.

Maybe one of the reasons is technology and being connected 24/ 7 by which i mean earlier, when people migrated they just assimilated because that became their encompassing culture and they almost lost the umbilical cord to their motherland. Not only that, it would have been better for their survival if they assimiliated. But now they are still in constant reminder of their previous culture.

It depends from which point of view you're looking at things. Nowadays most Europeans/"whites" aren't properly practicing their respective cultures either and are just following the globalist mainstream like everybody else is. Most people from Middle east in brazil are christians, many are from lebanon where there is a huge christian community

Think the migrants in Latam wanted to assimilate, as well as the fact they did so in a less fundamentalist world. I know in Colombia and similarly Brazil and Peru many immigrants from middle East and even Japan are 100% Latin now, they just might look a bit ethnic, but culturally are Latin right down to being Catholic.

Probably the fact they became Catholic made it much easier, as I think in Europe fundamentalists use Islam as a cope to to stop other migrants assimilating
