Would get a circumcision as an adult?

I have phimosis and went to the Dr and he gave me some cream which hasn't done shit over the time period I'm supposed to take it so I think to fix it Ill need to get circumcised.

The recovery looks like total ass though so Idk if its better to just live with my phimosis.

Anyone done this before or maybe have some very strong opinions if I should do it or not lol?

i did it when i was 15 or so, on my own initiative. didn't have full blown phimosis, but the skin up there was a bit tighter than it should be, so sex felt uncomfortable and i was afraid i could just rip it if i started fucking harder.

went to the urologist, she also recommended creams and stretching, but i couldn't bother with that bs so i just told her to chop it off.

got the procedure done and never had problems again. the sensitivity issueis a meme, it's only reiterated by neurotic incels who want to see problems everywhere.

Thanks for the in depth response man, if you don't mind answering another one how bad was the recovery? Could you do mentally challenging work and how uncomfortable is it until it heals? From what I read it takes a long time to heal fully.

before the surgery, i could pull the foreskin easily when flaccid, but it was a problem in erect state because my head/glans (?) is a little bit wider.

Well the frenulum is a very sensitive area, supposedly leaving it intact and having a high loose circumcision is the way to lose the least amount of sensitivity.
