Sure there might be a small number of normies who can code some bullshit but for the most part coding simply requires too much abstract logic that normies could never understand. If you can code then you are at most a semi-normie. Yes there are tons of cucked coders who are soyboys but I would argue that they still technically aren't normies in the conventional sense but rather they are just non-NPCs who also happen to be total cucks/incels in denial.

Learning how to code is brutally hard because there is so much abstract logic. I was able to learn other complex shit fairly easily with a bit of difficulty but learning how to code took a very large amount of concentrated effort.

EDIT: I also think I read somewhere that the failure rate of trying to learn how to code is like 80+% or some absurd shit like that.

A good coder imho needs to be a high iq high functioning nt aware autist mix
Because he needs to:
1) Know the syntax of a programming language -> easy
2) Being able to break down real world problems into sets of many small problems that can be solved one by one and translating the resulting algorithm into sonething a computer understands -> needs high iq/autist
3) Writing your programms in a way that other people (and your later self) are able to understand and extend it -> Needs some nt awareness.

Most people think achieving 1) makes you already a good programmer. These people will be able to code simple todo apps which are a mess to extend later and have horrible security leaks. For many small things this will suffice.

2) only people exist, too. They think they are semi gods because they can create complex. These skills however provide only moderate business value because code will often still be an unreadable nom extensible mess. While it probably secure in the early versions it will get worse later when even the original programmers don't understand their code anymore.

3) only people are mostly 1) with a business major or similar.

The people who can check all 3 of these boxes are the real programming goods, they are pretty rare but probably still a bit fucked up in the brain.

It is becoming mainstream bro ,just take a look at all the "AI" "data science" hipsterfaggots on utube and reddit. There are over million of them enrolled on Harvard data science course on edx.

I have a skeptic view on these fads because in the fundamental , programmers will have to deal with pure mathematics and logic which can't be built by just taking buzz hyped courses. Which means literally sitting your ass hitting old and boring ass combinatorics ,linear algebra textbooks. Something that NT people can't stand. There are almost no other ways around that.

If someone skips the basics , it often doesn't end well.

I work as a software engineer and never coded in my life before undergrad.

The field is filled with normies and soyboys. There are even plenty of chadlites.

Programming is not even hard once you get 2-3 years of experience.

Still it's one of the better jobs, for example I am given 2 weeks during quarantine to finish some stuff, I finish it in 3-4 days max and just chill the rest of the time.
