I agree tbh, but I was not raised with this mentality and you can't just switch over.

My parents induced a pure cortisol lifestyle into me where I should be saving every euro I get for 'hard times ahead'. And only focus on my studies/career. When I complained about anything in life, they would just say: 'U just gotta take the abuse. Life isn't meant to be fun, but hard work'

Ngl my parents were a bit like this (although less extreme).
I think it has to do with how my friends view life (one specifically) and how my mentality changed through browsing websites like this one or life experiences such as travelling alone.

I realised most people are afraid of everything.
They're afraid of doing something that's illegal, they're afraid of travelling alone to another country, they're afraid of not being a working drone, etc...
