it's a typical emotional reaction of an abused dog; these people are mortally afraid of being criticized for their preferences since their social "credit" is already deeply in the red and they can't afford more Ls
I have never seen a remotely popular and satisfied person morbidly fixated on letting everyone know they view something as cringe and of low quality; they are balancing praise and criticism pretty efficiently and simply focus on the positive more since they dont feel the pressure to prove themselves
to make it more hilarious/ironic, the tendency to distance yourself from low quality content came from social conditioning, yet said losers genuinely believe and act like it's their inherently superior nature
