4.5k including everything, in France.

I won't tell the surgeon name because I did post some before after on reddit and so many anglo asked for my French surgeon name, not sure yet he will like to get calls from strangers.

But basically any good surgeon in France it won't be more than that. You can get a genio for 3k in France.

Planning of the movement. I don't have an underbite it's just how they made me bite in the bite block for the scan.

Damn i need this i got protruding alveolar process too

Yeah it was my biggest issue I guess. Protuding alveolar process, especially lower incisors + flat chin.

Im happy for you thats a very good result, thanks for sharing.

Just shows again if you dont absolutly need Bimax a good Genio will easily ascend you for way less money.

Yeah depends heavily on the case tbh, recessed looking jaw with already defined chin/mentolabial fold can only be fixed by BSSO/DJS

Insane lifefuel, you ascended hard, congrats! Genio is such a mogger surgery.

If someone ( me jfl ) has protruding lips and alveolar ridge, would you say invisalign + genio is better, or just genio alone?

Well, if your bite is good and you have a lack of definition in your chin, I don't see the point of extraction + invisalign unless your upper lip/philtrum has a really chimp look, like in some ethnic groups then an extraction + invisalign may make sense.

Tryna avoid extractions - got a slight crossbite and some slight crooked teeth otherwise bite is fine. Yes philtrum is chimpy but I am black so just want it a lil less pronounced.

I'll go through some more aligner consultations and see what they say. (y)

Yeah depends on how much chimpy because genio make it looks less severe on its own. But being black with bimax protusion probably makes you a good candidate for genio only as I'm pretty sure your chin bone is way behind your lower incisors

Will see how bad with my CT, but even just feeling it, yh its behind. I understand genio is more of an artistic procedure, would you recommend France to get it done? I live in UK, cosmetic surgery is just a straight scam here jfl

From a financial point of view, I think France is the best country to have jaw surgery, including genioplasty. We have good surgeons and the price of these surgeries is lower than in any other European country.

For a foreigner who speaks English and not French, it seems feasible but a little complex. Not everyone speaks good English in France, so you might have trouble with the surgeon's secretary, or even the surgeon himself, if he doesn't speak English properly. At the hospital, too, nurses rarely speak English well, I think. It shouldn't prevent you from doing anything, it just might make the whole thing a bit tedious.

So it's clearly feasible if you're looking to have a talented surgeon for as little money as possible, but you'll undoubtedly come up against a few obstacles. Whatever happens, you should first of all contact the surgeons directly by message so you ask if they take foreign patients.

So I'm going to do you a favor and give you two good surgeons in France:
- Dr. Thierry Loncle (venator surgeon btw)
- Dr. Frédéric Barère

Both are excellent Maxillofacial surgeons and are well versed in the correct techniques for genioplasty. I don't know if they both take foreign patients.

I live in France and speak French. That's how I know that the older generation sometimes struggle with English. But otherwise France is welcoming to strangers no issues about that.

Advancement from genio can be up to 12mm in some cases with a good surgeon. They can even use bone graft during the surgery to fill up the mentolabial fold if it's too deep after the advancement.

Did your hoid get tighter after the surgery? Is your jawline definition better? Does your chin look taller now?

Yes, genioplasty stretches the muscles and skin in this area. The effects are not as dramatic as a bimax, but they are still present. And yes, any advancement of the chin makes it look taller from the front

En province, mais avec un chirurgien qui a une bonne réputation quand-même. Après j'ai failli aller chez Thierry Loncle et lui c'est à Paris pour le coup
