1 Week Accutane/Isotretinoin update

I have extremely mild acne and started isotret with the goal of clearing my forehead pimples and preventing any new ones from showing up in the future. I’m on 10mg a day, it’s been 1 week, my only side effects are dry lips and slightly dry skin. I feel as though my skin is already becoming clearer, is it placebo? I will continue with updates if anyone is curious.

With such low dosage I doubt you will purge. Im currently on month 4 and still purge. Just drink water, sleep well, and take it with food whether at night or in the morning. Stay consistent and make sure when you get your next batch you still have some pills left in your last round... if that makes sense.

10 mg won't be enough man. Forehead pimples take a long ass time to go away (from my own experience).

70kg, I live near the equator and have extracurriculars that require me to be in the sun for a large amount of the day. I’m looking to get to a cumulative dose of 4000mg and am going to increase dose to 20mg a day if dryness continues to be mild after 3 weeks.

Not exactly sure what you mean, I have 400 10mg total and am planning to take them over the next 200-400 days. My dose is low because i’m trying to avoid purging.

I've been on isotret for a little over a month at 60mg daily, and I have experience very good results. Some people are very responsive to isotret treatment. For me on week one I experienced dry lips and skin becoming drier. I didnt have any new break outs until the other day either. I just posted my 1 month update here along with a few tips and other things to be wary of while on accutane in general. Good luck with your treatment man
