I asked a mod for a self ban which prevented me from unbanning completely so I couldn't relapse.

I couldn't see any sections and any pms - not even my notifications.

Effects:

50% lower screen time on my phone.
Higher productivity
Better concentration levels (could go 1-2h of studying)
Indirectly using less social media
More motivation
More time to think about myself and improve


During this self ban, I also practiced "dopamine loading" which is entirely theoretical but I believe it helped a lot.

I tried to fix my dopamine levels to the point where I no longer even needed music to walk, go to school, study ect.

I believe I maintained higher energy levels and concentration due to the doctor addressing my deficiency.

Therefore, if you feel tired 24/7 or lack concentration and focus, get your blood checked out - you may be deficient.

ive been studycelling too recently, i wanna know what u do to get through multiple diff course work with high work load in this period
im doing a levels right now and basically what ive found out is that it's all just time management.

basically I maintain a to do list and every time i cross something out i gaslight myself into thinking im getting muh dopamine.

i also combine it with other stuff like dopamine loading which i can create a thread about later

I will still continue to use it beacause i find it endertaining and somewhat comforting comunicating with people in the similar situation to mine
If i self banned it wouldn't make a huge difference for me because i don't procrastinate that much and get my shit done​

At the start of this year i deleted most apps where there is some sort of short form content such as tiktok and ig
Personally it helped me a lot because instead of scrolling for 2 hour you just watch a 20 minutes video and you feel more endertained than you would be after 2 hours of doom scrolling

how do you dopamine load

for me all that works is at least 8 FULL hours of sleep because of the last two hours of sleep, which repair your mental and make you wake up like everything is sunshine and rainbows. I don’t wake up cortisol spiked or anything but maybe only once or twice a week my dopamine is sky high, and only because i’m sleeping for 8+ hours instead of the usual 6. Especially when i see the girl i like at school or talk to her
