10mg -> 20mg Isotretinoin (Accutane)

Took 10mg for 2 months. Purged in the beginning but my skin is looking better now. Will start with 20mg in the next couple of days.

What are differences you have noticed when going up in dosage and can I expect to purge again?

10mg is pretty damn low, unless youre victim weight. i started on 40mg/daily, gonna up it to 60. a purge is dependent on the effects of 10mg, if theres a lot of inflammation still, then it will surface faster and cause a "purge", if not dont expect a purge

10mg is upkeep dosage, even 5mg a day would be good for up keep. using high dosages is shit since in the long run youll be at the same point without making your life much more difficult. If you have acne i would reccomend 30mg a day max.

lol, idc what you would recommend, i got my dosage from a derm whose office has walls lined with awards and certifications top to bottom. i think im gucci, using high-dosages is 100% not shit, its the most well-researched use of isotret with clear results and allows you to achieve the target cumulative dose much faster

Just because something is most well researched doesn't mean its the best. Ofcourse a higher dose of accutane will get the results faster. but with a lot more unwanted effects. can be mostly avoided and same result achieved on lower still effective dosage.

I agree with this. Higher dosages should be reserved for serious acne.

It's fine but probably not necessary in most cases to use more.
Dermatologists in Europe (or at least the country I live in) are way more careful with iso dosages. What's considered a micro dose in the US, is considered normal here.
If you can get a similar result with fewer sides, I see no reason to not go with that.
