He won't lose weight it would take him at least 400,000 calories to burn to get to 185lbs which would take 100 days+ of not eating a single thing or years with traditional deficit diet.It's his company. In his garden or a park, he is going to set-up two cones 20 meters apart from one another and sprint from point A to point B and point B back to point A again, 4 times, before settling into a jog between points A and B 3 times for recovery. This will act his recovery-time. He is then going to sprint once again, same sequence, 4 times, before jogging and recovering again. He will repeat this sequence for 10 sets. This is as many probably know it; "High Intensity Interval Training"
exactly that tbh nglAt a BMI of 40, I would strongly recommend @LondonVillie to stay away from any cardio except brisk walking. You’re simply too heavy. Your joints will ache because they aren’t able to handle the stresses put on it by a 143kg man running. You risk permanent damage. At this state, you should be EASILY able to lose weight merely by cutting out all the rubbish I’m certain you’re eating. Combine this with walking until you’re perhaps at a BMI less than 27-28 this is when, at least in the cases I’ve encountered, when you should transition to slightly more intense work. Move to jogging. I’d reserve sprinting to when you are below 25 BMI.
Let me tell you one thing tho. You’re gonna be skinny fat when you lose all that weight, as your body will be breaking down both fat and muscle. I’d highly recommend hitting the gym but since that’s not really an option rn, perhaps get a pair of dumbbells online and follow a basic full-body workout routine. Building muscle will help you lose fat as a lot of the calories you eat are utilised to catalyse the biochemical processes required to build and maintain muscle. Wish you all the best.
