- Repfarming implies coordination, not coincidence. To call it farming, you’d need proof that people are systematically trading rep just to inflate scores. Seeing people repping each other isn’t “farming,” it’s just normal community behavior.
- The rep system exists to reward contribution. Not police social groups whenever they rep. If we start punishing people for interacting with certain users, we defeat the entire point of a reputation system. You either want good posts to be recognized, or you don’t so it would be quite absurd to not socialize in this forum to gain the attention of others.
- Ironically, the loudest complainers prove the opposite point. If the rep system were truly broken, rep would be meaningless when everyone at the top farms. Yet people still get heated about it indicating they do see it as a reflection of credibility. So clearly, it still works (this point isn’t strong yet I still wanted to talk about it).
At the end of the day, the “repfarm” narrative is just cope for those who don’t get repped often. Instead of wasting time speculating about who repped who, focus on improving your posts, your analysis, and your value here. The system rewards contribution, not complaints.
My hypothesis: If you think it’s a real issue and you are a antagonist of GTC and its members, push for transparency. Instead of arguing, suggest a fair solution. Whether that is a debate format megathread or a community poll. I’ve also heard others telling GTC members to come at greys with a “different approach” which is quite foolish.
straight up lies and you know it, people get repped for tagging others, writing random shit, writing dnr
youre acting as if gigacummaster was part of the gtc, i promise you if you were in his situation (a nobody who knew nobody) you wouldnt get any reps. his replies are unironically funnier and more interesting than gtc's.

is "Rep me boyos" a message that deserves 7 reps?

yes, and the coordination comes from the gtc. their whole goal is to invest in greys so that those greys can follow and rep them back. its not "normal community behavior" to rep every post and reply you see regardless of how much effort theres put in
you guys are mindless NPCs who rep before reading shit, aress even said that its out of habit, so its clearly not an indication of effort

the rep system exists to reward contribution, but you guys dont contribute shit. this is a horrible argument and it literally goes against you.

this is undeniable proof that you guys dont give a shit about contribution, you just want reps. you dont want to rate/help others, you dont want to make looksmaxxing guides, youre just here to farm reps.

what? youre just hollering and hooting, spewing random bs, this is another argument that goes against you
we're heated about it because you guys are the reason its meaningless. everyone in the gtc gets 5+ reps for no reason on almost every shitpost thread they make.

what? i have 21k reps, 10 times your reps. do you genuinely think im coping or is this satire? ive shown that you guys dont contribute shit + i STILL got repped by the gtc members in @inversions' complain thread, so "The system rewards contribution, not complaints" is a funny statement to make

ive given @FramePillGymMaxx, @AressGymMaxx and @BigBallsLarry a completely fair solution. youre just inventing shit to make an argument.
also, youre not part of the team @iraqi
