i usually compare to my maxilla (his looks very similar to mine and some people have said i look slightly recessed so thats why i said he was recessed) or other people with good or shit projection

i dont really go deep into it if im just browsing on the forum (meaning i dont go into ps and use all those planes and shit) i usually just make a guess and post it so if im inaccurate sometimes then thats why

Just want to emphasize that when blacks have a longer maxilla front to back compared to whites, whites have of their maxilla in front of their eyes, meaning they have length where is matters. As the Black skull is slightly longer than the White skull, so will the maxilla and the mandible. But Whites make up for this by having a taller mandible than Blacks. So even if Blacks have a longer mandible, it really makes no difference from the front as their lower third is shorter

Prime example here. Even robust Black guys have less maxillary projection than white guys directly below the eyes. Look how much further the White face extends in front of the eyes compared to the Black face. This is the part of the maxilla that matters the most in measuring forward growth anyway. Black guys have more maxilla behind their eyes compared to White guys which makes no difference aesthetically
