2 types of long midfaces?

Is there a genetically long midface and a downgrown midface? I think I have a genetically long midface tbh I'm not downgrown really.

I don't know if these are different though, but they look different. David Schwimmer has a very long face but he's noticeably downgrown and also a Jew, but Rodrigo has a pretty long face but no downgrowth really.

I have Rodrigos kind of midface, it's almost as if it's because my orbitals are just placed higher up on my skull. Everything else about my face is forwardly grown. So is this a thing or am I delusional.

If you kept perfect tongue posture throughout your entire life, you wouldn’t have a long midface. Although I do think that some people just have them be genetically longer than usual.

I think with Rodrigo his maxilla grew downwards AND fowards along with the mandible
Whereas David just has downgrowth without the foward projection resulting in him having craniofacial recessions

IPD and overall facial width play an important role too. Two people can have the same midface lengths from pupil to vermillion but one could have a narrow IPD & the other wide IPD and they'll look totally different.

In Schwimmer's case his skull is on the narrower side. If his bizygo and IPD were wider it wouldn't look as bad. His midface would still probably be slightly horsey though—his nose is really long.

Genetically tall midface with wide IPD & PFL is ideal IMO, looks high class af. It's also quite rare too which makes it quite stunning when you see it

Most people with midfaces as long as Gandy's look horsed because their IPDs are too low too pull it off, also not to mention the PFL needed to pull of that IPD. He got incredibly fucking lucky on genetics day.
