2 years of gym are gone within 1 month

I have not been to the gym for 1 month now! Had bronchitis and still cough today.
My body shrunk totally and my arms are skinny and half the size as before.
All the effort of 2 years is gone and was for nothing.
Its so brutal to see my biggest asset just go away :( Also my face looks less defined and glowing since i cant go to the gym anymore. Its finally over

Muscle memory is real, you'll reach your former level in no time.

Lol I stopped lifting for 5 months and got my old level back in 2 months of serious and committed training.

You just lost your glycogen, water and mineral retention, the contractile fiber is still there, just go to the gym and you will be back on track in a week

Once you are muscular its easy to get it back tbh, it’s called muscle memory

It comes back extremely quick. Also, your probably basically just as strong - which means you end up being at a lower bodyfat ultimately because you can stress the muscles more at a lower weight

Aging makes the face heavier in the mid section. Fat from the eye area drops down to the nasolabial and midface area which makes people look tired and sunken. Young people have the elasticity focused on the upper face part.

Yeah muscle memory is real. I know what you mean though. I think the best profit in gym is finding the body type that looks best on you and keeping the workouts simple to maintain that, and also growing the areas where you lack by nature so your body is more proportional overall by activating muscles you wouldn't have used unless you started up at the gym.
