Wondering if anyone else has experience with d3 and k2. Especially the benefits.

20k IU every day is too much especially in the summer & 500MCG of K2 is really nothing. All studies done use high doses in the MG to achieve results for bone density. Also use MK4 k2 instead of MK7.

I take 10k IU of D3 and 45mg of K2 every other day (I would dose k2 everyday but that shit is too expensive to take everyday)

Whats the worst that could happen when taking 20k IU? I'm assuming that a majority of it inst event being utilized. And have you personally felt any benefits?

You will get hypercalcemia and calcification of various organs including your cardiovascular system.
Could even be a min to your bone because they will be depraved of their blood supply this way

I live in WA, barely any sunlight here haha. I'm also ginger so I burn incredibly easy.

As for the cheese for vitamin K, I eat mostly whole foods. Since birth my mom has been a health nut and avoided plastics, receipts, seed oils, food dyes, energy drinks, and pretty much anything else. I eat grassfed + grass finished ground beef almost every day.

really 45mg? I’ve taken 5mg a day of mk4 so far, and now found out it apparently causes hairloss

I may have misspoke here. I believe the dosage was either 15mg or 45mg. I think it was 45mg that was used in Japanese studies to treat bone loss. But yeah, you generally need to be dosing it in mg as opposed to mcg for it to be effective.
 
you cant overdose micros its all jew lies i take 10k vitk and 40k vit d + outisde all day and i could take even more

a lot of d3 can also supposedly grow your nose and ears which would be total death for my rat pheno. So should I take 5mg or more daily for bone growth and how much IU of d3?

I’ve never heard of d3 growing nose and ears. I take 10k IU every other day or you can just take like 5k a day. If it’s the summer and you’re going out a lot, I’d recommend dropping the dosage a bit.

For bone density you’d ideally want to take Atleast like 15mg. I use the AOR MK4 (AOR is s brand just Google it) which apparently is dosed at 15mg but I could’ve sworn it used to be dosed at 45mg. Downside is this stuff gets expensive.

just strange that many people here recommend like 200mcg per day. Also should I take calcium with it or avoid it, again heard something about calcifying arteries

200mcg is far too low for it to have an effect. All studies (as far as I know) have used roughly 45mg. Do not take calcium supplements, it isn’t the same as getting calcium from milk or cheese or other sources. As far as I know, calcium isn’t required to take but you will want to get it from natural sources.

okay but the problem is I have just 60 capsules 5mg each, I would run out of it quick

Yeah that’s the problem. I’ve seen sources on here for cheaper mk4 but it is expensive.

You actually need more than that. There’s research to suggest it acts more like a hormone rather than a vitamin.
