Around 65-75% of users, have used PED's.
When users were asked whether they used Accutane ever, the results was around 1 in 3 people.
Observations (Is looksmaxxing going mainstream?)
Good News First
I will give the good news first, then the bad news. I purposefully asked these 2 questions, also in around the same period of time for a special reason. Because it shows the impact of the gymshark wave in the 2010s, the gymwave within the forum and self improvement space. People are actually not prioritizing, their actual face for example. More people are willing to use performance enhancing drugs to enhance their physique, but not accutane to enhance their face, even if they have acne popping out.
From studies it has been showing that 43% of AAS users reported acne as a side effect. So something is not adding up. Most this forum are teenagers and or around the age where they get acne, a lot of people including myself start off haivng acne. So you already have that demographic of people, which make up quite a big number, then almost 50% of PED users who get acne.
50% of people have got acne as a side effect from AAS - 75% of people voted they took PEDs before - so if every person who got acne as a side effect from PED's took accutane, even minus the people who took accutane not on PED's here. Then it would be 37.5% of people who took accutane. Showing their is LESS of an emphasis on face in this forum.
The gym wave is still super prevelant and is the biggest focus of peoples looksmaxxing efforts. It isnt necessarily even removing such a big flaw like acne, softmaxxing the face with things like hair dye, eyebrow dye, softmaxxing the eye area, or even getting fillers, fat dissolver injections. Even despite users like Pnuemo people still for some reason are avoiding fillers, fat dissolvers, like its the bubonic plauge. I've got fillers before and can name on 1 hand people I know here who have got fillers for example.
There hasnt been a spike in new users suprisingly, its around 1k daily active users, nothing out the usual, and 100k registered users.
Bad News
Huge huge amount of lurkers, around 15-20k daily. Do not underestimate lurkers, there are lurkers here who are ascending, then create an account with like 4 posts showcasing the ascension, often hardmaxxing and taking extensive measures. If you have been on this forum long enough you would know people like this
My transformation 2018 vs 2025
What I have done: 1- lose weight 2- get jaw + chin + mid face fillers 3- neck training Becoming good looking literally has solved all my problems. Don’t give up guys
Here is one who lurked lookism since 2018 , and only made an account in 2022, and had an amazing ascenson. Clavicular is pushing looksmaxxing to the mainstream, the more they see a guy who looks good, telling them what used to be quite niche methods, talking about this forum, there will be even more hypercompetition in dating, something on the scale in south korea where hardmaxxing and injecting your kid with HGH isnt uncommon, and where the gender divide is super super stark.
