Thai police have arrested a 23-year-old Russian man after a video showed him having sex with a woman on the back of a moving pickup truck in Phuket.
The man, identified only as Georgii, was detained on Sept. 25 at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport as he attempted to leave the country, Bangkok Post reported.
Police believed he is the man in a 15-second clip that went viral late on Sept. 24, showing a naked couple on a black pickup truck cruising along a Phuket road.
The woman in the video is a 42-year-old Thai who works in Phuket.
She told police she was paid 1,000 baht (US$31) to appear in a video intended for Georgii's Russian audience.
Police said the man is an adult content creator with a history of posting explicit videos on social media.
The act was recorded by a passing motorist and fueled online outrage.
Georgii faces charges of committing an indecent act in public, an offense punishable by up to one year in prison, a fine of up to 20,000 baht, or both, Khaosod English reported.
Colonel Chatree Chukaew, chief of Muang Phuket police station, said he has recommended the Immigration Bureau revoke Georgii's visa and place him on a blacklist, barring future entry to Thailand.
