I'm 183cm/6 feet, 64kg. I calculated I consume about 2.5/3g of sodium a day, I'm an endurance athlete and often workout 3-4 hours a day. So I eat more hence why my sodium level is also higher, but then again I also sweat a lot so I excrete sodium via sweat.

But simply put to hit the 3/4:1 ratio I’ll need 12k potassium, I usually consume 2-4k via diet so logically I should supplement 8k? Or does that sound crazy

Uselesssssssss. Don’t bother. And 8g of potassium/day? What the fuck is wrong with you?

This sodium : potassium rubbish has gone on for far too long.

well if i have to get the 4:1 ratio, i need to supplement 8g. bare in mind i eat between 4.5-6k calories a day while weighing everything and tracking due to the volume of training i do. i'm still sitting at 6-8% bf, but perhaps i could just chill with the potassium and manage a 3:1 or 2:1 ratio

Why do you have to get 4:1? This is all just TikTok sloganeering. And I really doubt you’re 6% BF. That is incredibly, and I mean, sickly ill, totally unsustainable.

that's what i see is suggest on here, but people vary between 4-2:1 ratio, so i gues i can do less

and yeah i fluctuate between 6-8% thru my season, weight is very important so i track it daily. it is extreme i agree, but elite level sports isn't for everybody. and yeah it's not healthy to be too low (in my experience once i hit 5 and lower my energy levels begin to take a hit) and also therefore i bulk during my offseason
