When I mean not NT I mean comfortable in your own skin and capable of being that because your personality subconsciously conforms to society's standards of what is right. Research shows that almost everyone is able to be NT, with 98% of kindergartners scoring at a genius level creativity, with only 2% of adults doing so. Creativity is so indicative of being NT because creativity is influenced by two major factors DMN and ECN. They are both subconscious processes, with the DMN generating a bunch of insights and the ECN is what filters out those insights. People do not have a wide range of innate DMN talent and ability, which we see loosely when we see that iq and how fast your brain is, no longer correlates with creativity past an iq of 120, or 1 in 4 people. The main reason why our creativity is so worse is because our ECN filters out more and more things as our thoughts are largely not positively reinforced. Which is why creativity = neurotypicality bc people who are creative adhere to societal expectations. And creativity = conversational humor bc humor is just having a bunch of connections to riff off of and that's creativity. And the whole point of improv isn't to train your DMN and brain to be more innately creative, that's impossible. It's to train your brain to filter out less and to focus more on other people than being in your head.
