I remember this vividly from when I was in year 2 at school (around 7 years old for those that aren’t from the uk).

I was in the bathroom at school, I was washing my hands while another kid was looking at himself in the mirror. He was south Asian and kinda unfortunate looking.

He said to me “I don’t like how my face looks”

I responded something along the lines of “how can you not like what your face looks like?”. At that time I was utterly baffled by the idea of someone disliking their own appearance.

I have sympathy for that dude, being unhappy with your appearance at that age is fucked, most likely over for him unfortunately; with such a poor hand of cards from the beginning I don’t see that he could eventually live a good life.
