God created man in His image. I believe in theory, we have a distorted perception of looks and beauty in many ways since our fall in the garden of Eden. When God made us he never made us "ugly". Even people we perceive as ugly in an objective way- deformities, abnormalities, etc, God doesn't see that. I suppose maybe when people are deformed that could be because of original sin as well. Yet some of these people have such beautiful souls. I know people will chide me for saying "beauty within" but that' s not all it is. It's just that we have a warped perception in our fallen world. So yes, to rehash the platitude, beauty is in the eye of the , you know... Essentially everyone is average.

Man being made in God's image doesn't refer to man's physical shape. Also all material reality is intrinsically imperfect and governed by evil. Ugliness makes perfect sense and is just par for the course.

Yes this makes sense, and essentially what I was saying. Because of original sin, we can see some ugliness, but it also from within . Even if we take perfect care of ourselves, our looks will eventually fade, we will start to decay. That is why I want to help people not fall into this trap. Even at 40 years old I still care about my looks and vanity (especially in men) can be a deadly thing.

I don’t agree with people
Blaming god for their looks. Don’t blame god, blame your parents. At best you can blame god for you existing, but your parents are the people who moulded you

My parents (especially mother ) were good looking in their time. I don't blame God, I'm saying original sin also causes us to have perceptions that can be distorted, when it comes to looks and other things.
