prelude : by no means this a brag thread, i am just telling the situation and observations openly
i started working in a new betting site as a telemarketing agent, i was introduced to the job interview by a friend of mine who already been working there for nearly a week
my friend is 170 or 175 cms with a weaker build, he has acne issues and long hair, and has somewhat childish face and we are same age. overall a very nice dude though
after the initial job interview i stuck around a bit at my first day. sat by other agents just to see how they operate systems and talk with customers. as i was interacting with other agents, male or female, people were talking to me in a respectful way, even the goofiest dudes were showing no sign of disrespect,(obviously i am a new guy they have to,i know that too) telling me they have feeling that i will be very good at job etc, as i did some talking with potential clients and convinced them, people were impressed with my confidence in the way i talk, even saw people whispering each other
while all this were happening ppl already made my other friend a meme in workplace, making fun of how he acts and how he asks too many unnecessary questions although they were totally normal ones, constantly backhandedly making fun of him, were questioning his future in job even.
as im writing this im one week in job, waited this much because i did not want to be biased with "new guy at work" status.
guys are already passing me blunts, asking me out to bar and clubs , talking to me about people who have been in job for years tell me they never seen someone grasp the job this easy and i will probably be the best in the office by the way im progressing in couple months.
some of the guys even told me "with your appearance (while making this motion of pointing to themselves from head to toe) whatever you do as a job you would be succesfull"
while all this happening my friend is moved to night shift, and his situation with colleagues is getting worse. although he is loved, he is not respected as i do.
there is not much needs to be said, you guys know what to do
every little improvement counts whether it is face, frame, height, voice or the way you speak or carry yourself even mental improvements in mindset
try to look,speak,act and carry yourself like a man.
looks are indeed everything
