To be very transparent, the price ranges I had listed below are approximate, which means that you shouldn't solely rely on my word and actually go out of your way to verify directly with each clinic.
Now these are obviously really different due to the fact that they can be based on case complexity, additional procedures, anesthesia fees, facility costs, and geographic market conditions.
Any quoted prices I had provided in this guide should be treated as ballpark orientation and not really a binding estimate.

RELEVANT FOR - Difficult cases combined. E.g., bimax + rhinoplasty + implants in one stage - Also relevant under Facial Implants and Rhinoplasty sections |
"Why is bimax surgery so much cheaper in Europe than in the US"
Because European bimax pricing (€10–18K) usually comes from lower overhead and not having to deal with the shitty mess of insurance admin.
Whereas, on the other hand, the US ($35–80K) has to deal with higher facility costs, malpractice premiums, and surgeon fee structures.
"Does that mean the quality is worse?"
No.

"I'm pretty scared about getting a hair transplant. What should I watch out for?"
1. If a clinic is pitching 3,000+ grafts for way under €2,000, 8-9 times out of 10, they're running a tech-heavy setup with little surgeon actually involved |
2. Non-stop social-media marketing |
3. Pressuring you to book immediately |
4. They're unable to actually tell you the name of the exact surgeon who will do your surgery |
I would say these are a few clear warning signs to look out for.
By law, a licensed surgeon should be supervising and actually performing the procedure.
Unfortunately, cheaper clinics usually don't give a fuck about that rule, so they ignore it.
FACIAL IMPLANTS
Jaw Angle · Wraparound Jaw · Zygomatic/Malar · Infraorbital Rim · Supraorbital/Brow · Custom PEEK/Silicone
1. Dr. Barry L. Eppley, MD, DMD Eppley Plastic Surgery · Carmel, Indiana |

REASONING FOR BEING THE PRIMARY REFERENCE - Eppley is double board-certified (Plastic Surgery + OMFS), trained in craniofacial surgery - He developed the field of aesthetic skull reshaping and is considered the world's foremost authority on custom facial implant design and implantation - Patients from 68 countries - He designs implants personally using CT scan data and performs every surgery himself - The range of implant types he works with is broader than any other surgeon in the US: jawline (wraparound), infraorbital-malar, supraorbital/brow bone, zygomatic arch, temporal, skull, nasal, and body implants. |
SCOPE OF CUSTOM WORK - Jaw angle implants (standard and vertical) - Wraparound 3-piece jawline implants - Infraorbital-malar with maxillary extension - Zygomatic arch (side-of-face width) - Supraorbital/brow bone augmentation and reduction - Forehead contouring - Temporal implants - He also performs skull reshaping which is a procedure which basically no one else offers at scale - Featured as an educator in Implantech's Masters Series for teaching implant techniques. |

Eye Area & Orbital Work
Before I continue, I want to talk about the difference of each eye area procedure so that people know about them before consulting anyone.
BLEPHAROPLASTY (Removes or repositions excess skin and/or fat from upper or lower eyelids) Low risk when performed by a qualified surgeon. It's a well-understood, common procedure. | SAFE / COMMON |
CANTHOPLASTY (Alters lateral canthal tendon to change eye shape, tilt, or position) Moderate risk. Requires experienced surgeon. Can be combined with canthopexy (tightening). | CAUTION / EXPERIENCED SURGEON NEEDED |
ORBITAL DECOMPRESSION (Removes bone or fat from behind the eye, mainly for Graves’ disease) High risk. Usually medically necessary. I don't recommend doing this for cosmetic/aesthetic reasons. | RARE |
ORBITAL BOX OSTEOTOMY (OBO) (Detaches and moves eye sockets, craniofacial surgery for wide-set eyes) EXTREME RISK. This can cause blindness if you're using it for cosmetic reasons. Performed almost exclusively for medical reasons. | DO NOT DO THIS / PROCEED WITH CAUTION |

BUCCAL FAT REMOVAL
Midface contouring
Buccal face removal is one of the technically easiest procedures in facial surgery. But it's recommended too much. Theoretically speaking, if you have it removed when you’re under 35, there’s a good chance you’ll start looking gaunt or hollow by the time you hit 45.
With that being said, I won't really go deep on it.
Almost ANY board-certified plastic surgeon or oral surgeon who has experience with facial work can handle the technical part just fine. They have to be straight with you about whether you actually need it, or if they’re just pushing it because it brings them money.
"But, how would I evaluate it?"
(1) They should be able to show you computer imaging of the estimated result |
(2) Talk about your skeletal proportions and how much of your facial fullness is actually buccal fat VS lateral cheek fat, masseter size, or subcutaneous fat, which are basically the places that buccal removal won't touch |
(3) Can address whether your face will age well with the fat removed over a 10–15 year window |
I highly recommend that you consult another surgeon if they're not even able to address all three.
