A girl made extended eye contact with me while smirking

i was with my dad at a beach club. i suddenly notice a girl passing by looking at me, i look at her then immediately look away as a reflex. then i realize that i need to make eye contact. i did, she stays unfazed tho keeps looking and then she has a kind of smirk/smile on her face. i think i just smiled with my eyes. then she walked past and it was over.

it definitely felt like an ioi at first but another part of my brain tells me i looked so ridiculous and deformed that she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

i mean why smirk? why not be intimidated when i looked back at her. she just kept looking and smiling like she was toying with my autistic brain. brutal.

Maybe she thought you were cute then idk. I don't think she would smirk at you in a mocking manner unless you were overtly ugly/ goofy looking.

That happens to me fairly often and it confuses me too. At first I think the girl is checking me out or something but then I think why wouldn't she come approach me if she was actually interested? People say that girls don't approach but I don't believe it personally, I think they do if you're gl enough.
